Health and special requirements
While you will not be living in College, we hope that you will be spending time here, both participating in the social life such as formal dinners and events, and accessing support when needed. This is your opportunity to tell us about any health and special requirements you think we should be aware of. Please provide only a brief note in this form, and email us with more detailed information, if applicable, at johns.studentsupport@durham.ac.uk. The catering information will assist the Catering Team to prepare for your dietary requirements when attending College catered functions or buying meals in the College dining hall. Please note that all of our public spaces, shared kitchens and dining rooms are nut free zones. If you have any questions about catering options, or you wish to provide more details about your special dietary needs, please email the Catering Team on johns.catering@durham.ac.uk.

According to UK Governmental Covid-19 guidance, are you an international student from one of the countries outside of the Common Travel Area that requires 2 weeks quarantining on arrival? If so, you are required to complete this short form to let the University know about your period of quarantine.

It is helpful for us to know if you are medically exempt from wearing one as face masks are required in all communal areas across the campus. For the UK Government's guidance on wearing a face mask, please take a look at their webpages
Opting in to the MCR
The majority of our postgraduate students are members of the MCR (Middle Common Room). Membership gives access to our dedicated Postgraduate Centre and enables you to fully take part in the life and community of the College, including postgradaute social events and entertainment, peer welfare and playing sports and joining or starting new societies.

Please click here for detailed information on the benefits of MCR membership and other services and additional charges for postgraduates. For further information about the MCR, visit their website or contact johnsmcr.president@durham.ac.uk. If you opt in, the College will raise an invoice email johns.finance@durham.ac.uk no later than 9 October 2020.

Opting in to the library provides access to books and study space in the brand new Learning Resource Centre. Students living out are welcome to access the library during the current alert level and can book study space on the top floor. College library membership is £50 for a full academic year (for students who have never been residential in college).
