Study Space and Library

The Sir William Leech Library occupies the first and second floors of our purpose-built Learning Resource Centre, which is situated next to the College chapel. The building is open 24/7 to library members and access is normally by campus card. There are CCTV cameras and a book security system in operation.

The library is light, spacious and congenial for study, with 86 study desks as well as a group study room for up to 8 people. Our excellent stock of around 27,000 books includes a particularly fine theology collection. About 1,000 books on a wide range of subjects are added to stock each year.

There are 9 desktop computers located in the Learning Resource Centre, as well as computers for postgraduate students in the postgraduate centre. Every student has access to a printer in college, which can be connected to personal laptops.

Melissa, our friendly College librarian, is available part of the day to help with any queries.

Crossroads

The library offers ample study space for Johnians, in a bright and quiet environment. For an alternative working space, Crossroads is the perfect place to work with friends. With its own kitchen, microwave and coffee machine it’s great for livers-out who still want to work in College, and don’t mind a bit more noise.
