In response to the developing Covid-19 pandemic, and following government directives, St John’s College remains open, but is operating differently.
Staff members are working from home, and several college buildings and areas are closed for security reasons, including College reception. Visitors are not permitted and we cannot accept parcels. We have estalished a Business Resilience Task Group with the health and safety of St John’s students and staff at the core of our planning.
We have a Virtual Reception open for enquiries during weekdays (contact firstname.lastname@example.org) 9.00am – 5.00pm.
Students can contact the College emergency phone on 08000988084 and the Virtual Reception staff (9.00am – 5.00pm) or Resident Tutor on duty (5.00pm – 9.00am) will escalate any emergencies or critical issues to the College Officer on call.
The Senior Tutor’s Office remains open and offers student support as usual during office hours on email@example.com. Cranmer Tutors are offering support to students of Cranmer, also via telephone, email and online.
College administrative staff who can do so are working from home and are normally available to contact by students via email, telephone and Microsoft Teams. Their working hours may vary slightly from normal, and they may take longer than usual for to respond to queries. For contact details, see the contact list on this page.
Stay at home
All students and staff are advised to observe the government’s instructions on staying at home.
- Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (where this absolutely cannot be done from home).
- Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people, and don’t gather in groups.
- Wash your hands thoroughly as soon as you get home.
- Use gloves and when you go through and exit college or other buildings.
