Accommodation and facilities
The College is situated within a row of Georgian townhouses on the Bailey in the heart of the medieval city of Durham, and is overlooked by the Norman cathedral that makes up one half of the millennium old UNESCO World Heritage Site. You are never more than a 15 minute walk from lectures or the University library. Our secluded gardens and lawns stretch down to the River Wear, where we have our own boathouse.
We’ve invested heavily in our estate. All our bedrooms have been refurbished and we have built new dining facilities, function rooms, a new gym, and some accessible en-suite accommodation. The 12th century College chapel is a wonderful space for music and worship and we are currently building new three storey library and learning resource centre which will be open 24/7 with free wifi and state-of-the art audio visual equipment.
