Pre-Application Open Days
Choosing a university, let alone a college, to study and live at is always an important decision. Please take the oppotunity to have a look around John's College on these days to hopfully get a taste as to what collegiate life would be like here. Each year the university offers a number of pre-application open days for prospective students in September and March. The next will be on the 26th of September 2015 and can be reached here. Departments, student services, facilities and residences will be available to look round and hear a little about what they do through a number of tours and talks.
A number of John's students will be available to take you round the College with an insight into the university subjects that they are each currently reading. Throughout the day there will be talks given by the Senior and Assisstant Tutors about John's and it's role within university life. We hope to give you a solution to the decision of whether John's College is for you.
For application days in March, accomodation will be available for prospective students only should it be required. For this please contact College for more infomation.
Post Application Open Days
These are for post applicants to the College and University and are normally held in March each year. Our open days representatives will work hard to make sure that you learn what you want about the college and that you enjoy your time here. The dates of these will be made public as soon as they are finalised so please look out for them on either John's or the University's website.
John's College welcomes both prospective students and alumni of John's to be given a tour around College if they are in the area. There are no fixed times for College visits and tours like at other colleges, instead there is often a member of staff available so please do drop us an email to either email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org to organise a tour. We are always glad to accomodate such requests.
Meet a student
The reason I love St John's College is that it functions like a family. Being a small community there is a unity between the years and across friendship groups, which helps to create a welcoming and friendly dynamic. There is something for everyone: with bountiful sports teams, societies, music groups and theatre companies, John's is a place where each individual is recognised and celebrated for what they bring to the table. The college itself is charming - an idyllic row of houses in prime location along the Bailey - it truly feels and looks like a home. I adore the sense of college spirt, and am honoured to be part of such a lively, diverse, yet close-knit community.
