Our first massive open online course (MOOC) teaches users how they can use satellite imagery to identify and assess endangered archaeological sites in the Middle East and North Africa. As well as our English version, there are also Arabic, Farsi and French translations of the course.

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of our friend, colleague, and Durham Archaeology Honorary Research Fellow Dr Abdulameer Al-Dafar (Al Hamdani).

At a time when the cultural heritage of Ukraine is under very real and immediate threat, we send our support to the cultural heritage community in Ukraine and ask that all national and international agencies do their utmost to protect the country’s rich heritage from damage.
