Durham’s Multidisciplinary CDT in Energy provides the students with further opportunity to gain a broader knowledge of energy issues from engineering to social aspects.

Regular research seminars allow the students to present and to discuss their research projects among students and staff.

A series of internal and external invited lectures from leading energy researchers have been arranged to allow the students to gain an insight into real energy challenges.

An annual mini group project allows students, working in small groups, to carry out a project addressing current energy issues.

Regular field trips and site visits allow students to see energy technologies in operation and how new approaches might be developed and implemented.
