Group Mini-Projects

In addition to their individual studies, the CDT students take part in an annual group mini-project. The topic of the project changes each year. A brief description of each project is given below. CDT students work in multidisciplinary teams for two weeks. Each team gives a team presentation and produces a written report at the end of the project. A small prize is given to the team judged to have achieved the best outcomes.

The aims of the mini-project are to:

  • gain a much broader perspective on energy
  • observe different disciplinary approaches to energy
  • work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • develop a broader range of skills
  • enjoy working on a different aspect of energy-related research
