Create Spin-Out Companies

The creation of spin-out companies is the conventional route for taking innovative new technologies to the marketplace. We support early-stage ventures by working with academic researchers to develop a business plan to get the business ready to raise the investment needed to take the venture forward. We are also very keen to support non-conventional opportunities in non-technical fields through the creation of not-for-profit ventures and social enterprises.

Northern Accelerator

Northern Accelerator is an innovative collaboration between four North East universities to commercialise research and boost the region's economy.

By connecting academics with business leaders and providing funding and business support, it is accelerating the translation of world-leading research into commercial opportunities, forming sustainable businesses and creating more and better jobs.
