History Department Research Seminar
The speaker on Wednesday is Professor William Beinart, who was Rhodes Professor of Race Relations at Oxford from 1997 to 2015.
Title: Do, and should, rural African people in South Africa own their land?
Tea and coffee will be served from 4pm. The paper will start at 4.30. There will be wine and nibbles after the paper.
The research seminars are a vital part of the department’s collective research culture. I look forward to seeing you at the seminars.
The first of the History Department research seminars will take place this Wednesday (18th) in Prior’s Hall, Durham Cathedral.
The easiest way to get to Prior’s Hall is to enter the cathedral, go to the south side of the cloister, go through Dean’s Walk, and the building is on the left hand side as you leave the cloister. Prior’s Hall has a red door.
