The Centre for Advanced Instrumentation designs and builds state of the art optical instruments for a whole range of scientific applications. We have very close links with the Astronomy and Astrophysics Section, the Biophysical Sciences Institute, and the Centre for Soft Matter. We are based both in the Physics Department in Durham, and at the close-by NetPark Research Institute.
