When should you start planning your career?

Many companies recruit from their summer internship intake. These internships are often arranged a year in advance. Therefore for many jobs it is advisable to start taking concrete steps two years before you finish your degree.

Where can I find information?

The first port of call should the 'Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre' of the university and the careers section in the 'Maths Undergraduates' module on DUO.

Does the department have a list of open jobs?

When employers approach us with job openings we post them in the 'Maths Undergraduates' module on DUO. Indeed, it is a good idea to subscribe to the forum

to be informed about open jobs and internships.
