Arithmetic Study Group: The inertial Jacquet--Langlands correspondence.

Presented by Andrea Dotto, Imperial College

19 February 2019 14:00 in CM301

The local Jacquet--Langlands correspondence is an instance of Langlands functoriality, relating representations of general linear groups with those of central division algebras over local fields. I will present an effective description of this correspondence in terms of type-theoretic invariants, due to S├ęcherre--Stevens and myself, and give an application to the geometry of moduli spaces of Galois representations.

Research Seminars by Series

The research groups in the Department of Mathematical Sciences hold several seminar series in term time. Information on date, time and location are available here.
