Research

Our current research interests include:

  • Numerical analysis: timestepping methods
  • Partial differential equations, with applications to elasticity and fluid dynamics
  • Optimal transport: mean-field games and applications
  • Spectral theory: non-self-adjoint operators
  • Kinetic theory
  • Mathematical biology: Protein structure topology and dynamics, biologically active fluids and rheology
  • Magnetohydrodynamics: numerical simulation of magnetically dominated plasmas, topological analysis of vector fields, solar magnetic field modelling

Postgraduate Study

We welcome students interested in pursuing research in one or more of the areas listed above. Please contact one of the staff members for details.
