Alumni/careers Videoconference is a success

(15 June 2016)

On Wednesday 15th June 2016, five of our former students gave up some of their time (thanks to their current employers) to tell a group of our current undergraduates about their careers. They were also put on the spot, answering questions ranging from second year module choices to working hours.

Paul Brunger (2005, MMath, now an actuary and consultant at PwC), Tim Duckenfield (2014, MMath, now a seismic geophysicist wt CGG), Jamie Poole (2006, MSci, now a software development manager for G-Research), and Caroline Walters (2014, PhD, now a researcher at Public Health England) appeared live via Lync, while Pippa Cole (2015, BSc, now an editorial assistant at Cambridge University Press) prepared a recorded presentation. We were joined, in person, by current staff member Chris Prior who has previously worked as a quantitative analyst. A huge thank you goes out to all of the participants in this informative event!
