Pure Maths Colloquium: Factorization algebras and QFT

Presented by Yakov Kremnitzer, University of Oxford

11 March 2013 16:00 in CM221

Factorization algebras were introduced by Beilinson and Drinfeld as the geometric version of vertex algebras. I will explain what factorization algebras are and how they can be used in quantum field theory.
No prior knowledge of quantum physics will be assumed.
