Topological Solitons Seminar: Walls of hopfions and monopoles

The talk is about 3d topological solitons which are periodic in two of the spatial directions, and so resemble walls. First, topologically-nontrivial domain walls in the Skyrme-Faddeev (hopfion) system, concentrating on a particular class of solutions which saturate a Bogomolny-type bound. Secondly BPS monopoles, focusing on aspects of the generalized Nahm transform --- which in this case is an auto-transform, mapping monopole walls to other monopole walls.
