Matthew Saul joined the Law School as a lecturer in October 2008. His research interests are within the field of public international law. He has published on aspects of general international law, international human rights law, international humanitarian law, and dispute settlement. Prior to his appointment at Durham, he taught law and was a PhD student at the University of Sheffield. His PhD examined the international contribution to the reconstruction process in post-conflict situations from the perspective of international law and order.
