Off-campus Records Storage Contract
The University's off-campus records storage contract is currently fulfilled by Iron Mountain. The contract provides storage space for archive boxes of University files which cannot be accommodated on-campus. Staff are able to recover boxes and also request that they are destroyed by the supplier at the appropriate time. Please note that the contract operates at box level only, not file level, meaning that individual files cannot be sent for storage, recovered or destroyed.
The University's boxes are stored locally in order to support quick retrieval times. Where staff require access to a large number of boxes, it may be possible to view them at the storage facility rather than have them delivered to a University office.
Costs for all teams in Professional Support Services are paid from a central consolidated budget. All other teams, such as academic departments and colleges, pay their costs themselves.
Each team using the service nominates one or two users, who are given access to the supplier's online system. The system contains instructions for use.
