Post-doctoral Research Associate - Ref: 3454

Durham University Geography Deparment seeks to recruit a well qualified Research Associate to support the USGS funded project: Spatial and temporal patterns of deformation associated with nutiple late holcene earthquakes in Alaska. The successful applicant will possess PhD training (thesis near to submission or submitted); Postgraduate experience of diatom identification, sediment sampling and laboratory procedures. They will be competent in the use of multivariate statistics/transfer function software and have Knowledge of relative sea-level change in Alaska research. The post is available full-time from Jan 2010 or part-time from earlier on a pro rata basis to a total of 6mths FTE

Salary: £23,449 per annum
