Undergraduate Study

When you study at Durham Geography you join one of the best geography programs anywhere. Our world-leading staff research pressing global social and environmental challenges and our vibrant student community is right there with them. We offer BA and BSc degrees that you tailor to your interests and career goals. Not only do geographers get jobs, our graduates work where they can make a difference. Our students are employed in everything from environmental policy and climate science to urban planning, energy, tourism, and local development.

Our program will stimulate and challenge you to achieve your best. Staff provide one-on-one mentorship and feedback, and the Durham Undergraduate Geography Society is a hub for social events come rain or shine. Our staff research a broad range of topics. Whatever area of Geography you are interested in, you can probably study it with us. Did we mention fieldtrips? At Durham Geography you will learn first-hand how to address real-world problems.
