Royal Society - Conference Grants

(16 September 2005)

The Royal Society invites applications for its conference grants. This scheme supports UK scientists to either present their own paper or poster or to chair a session at an overseas conference. Auxiliary visits to scientific institutions may also be covered. The conferences must be on a science subject supported by the society.

Funding is available for up to 10 days and covers international air fares, registration and subsistence. Applicants must have postdoctoral or equivalent status. British and EU citizens who have a permanent position at a UK institute can apply, as can retired scientists who are still active in science and non-EU citizens who have held a permanent position at a UK institute for at least three years.
