US Institute of Peace - Solicited Grants

The US Institute of Peace invites applications under its solicited grant competition for research addressing conflict prevention and resolution. Proposals are invited for research into:
•rule of law in African countries emerging from violent conflict. USIP will support policy-oriented research and practical projects such as educational and training programs that focus on establishing and strengthening the rule of law in African countries emerging from violent conflict;
•education and Islam. USIP will fund innovative proposals that explore or promote the role educational programs play in enhancing interreligious understanding in Muslim societies. Practical initiatives to strengthen teacher training and develop new curricular or other educational materials such as video documentaries and radio programs are eligible for funding, along with policy-oriented research projects.
