Post 0509 – Human Geography Lectureship

(11 October 2004)

(Lectureship - New Approaches in Economic Geography) - The successful candidate will contribute primarily to the Lived and Material Culture Research cluster. We seek applications especially from less experienced scholars, who are developing new approaches to economic geography. Approaches to the materiality of economic practice, the performative aspects of the economy and the virtualisation of economic relations would be welcome. These might include ethnographic work on the functioning of markets, organisations and other economic practices; research on the economy of the screen and mediation of economic relations; or the study of the embedding of economic activities within cultural and social milieux.
