Network Facilitator - Ref: 2451

(7 April 2008)

The 6* Department of Geography, Durham University is seeking a Network Facilitator for the recently awarded Leverhulme Trust International Network ‘Transnational Climate Change Governance’. The purpose of this International Network is to bring together scholars from Europe and North America in a range of disciplines to examine the significance and implications of transnational arrangements for climate change governance. Given the proliferation of these arrangements, and the seemingly inexorable rise in greenhouse gas emissions, there is a pressing need to understand the influence, effectiveness and legitimacy of emergent transnational climate governance arrangements. This research network seeks to contribute to this critical task.

The Network Facilitator will play an important role in co-ordinating the network and undertaking a range of research activities to support the network, including the management of the online research community and the development of a database of transnational governance arrangements for climate change. This is a part-time (60%), fixed term appointment for 30 months from June 1st 2008.

Salary: £21,682 per annum pro rata

Closing Date: 22nd April 2008
