Canada/UK University Partnerships Programme

(8 April 2005)

The Foundation for Canadian Studies in the UK invites applications for its Canada-UK university partnerships programme. The purpose is to facilitate collaboration between universities in the two countries so that both can: share their experiences in common fields of interest and endeavour; share complementary expertise and facilities; and take advantage of similar democratic and university structures to combine their resources in addressing common problems and in facing the challenges of the 21st century.

The objective is to encourage and support the initiation, development and diversification of partnerships between British and Canadian universities, in association with government, the private sector and non-governmental organisations in both Britain and Canada. Grants will normally be less than £750 and supplementary to other sources such as the universities themselves.

Deadline: 28 February, 31 May and 31 October each year
