Lecturer in Physical Geography - Ref: 2045

Applicants are sought from candidates with research expertise in numerical modelling of climate / ice sheet dynamics.
The Geography Department seeks to appoint a one year fixed-term, part-time (20% - 7 hours per week) lecturer in Physical Geography from 1st October 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applications are welcome from individuals whose teaching and research interests include one or (preferably) more of research into: Numerical models to reconstruct ice sheet mass-balance; The use of radar to infer ice sheet dynamics; The mechanics of glaciers and ice sheets and their response to climate change; Modelling glacier fluctuations as a response to changes in climate.

Salary: £26,666 per annum (pay award pending)
