Annual earth and space awards
The Earth and Space Foundation invites applications for its earth and space awards. Typical areas of interest include: environmental projects using technologies resulting from space exploration, including satellite communications, GPS, remote sensing, advanced materials and power sources; use of data from extraterrestrial expeditions to help further understanding of the earth’s environments and the biosphere; field research applying the earth’s environmental and biological resources toward the human exploration and settlement of space; effects of the space environment and space exploration on the earth; astronomy at the interface between earth and space exploration/astroarchaeology; astro- and exobiology related fieldwork; and educational field trips that improve public understanding of the links between environmental and space exploration.
Projects may include university expeditions and other expeditions from private or nonprofit organisations and government expeditions. Awards are worth $500.
