JSPS/BA Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, in partnership with the British Academy, invites applications for its postdoctoral fellowship for foreign researchers to support research in the humanities and social sciences.

Candidates must be ordinarily resident in the UK, hold a doctorate degree received within six years prior to the award, and have arranged a research plan with a host researcher employed at a Japanese university/research institution.

Awards include: a round-trip air ticket; a monthly allowance of 392,000 yen, a settling-in allowance of 200,000 yen and a research travel allowance of 58,500 yen per year. Awards are for 12 to 24 months.
