Secretary, Research Office - Ref: 1744

Applications are invited for the post of secretary, in the Department of Geography’s expanding Research Office. The post, which will be for three years in the first instance, will provide secretarial support to the Director of Research Postgraduates, and will be responsible for the administration of current and continuing research postgraduates, all new postgraduate admissions and taught postgraduates.

The Research Office has undergone a recent restructure in order to accommodate the increasing number of research grant applications being made by academic staff, and the increasing number of research and taught postgraduate students who are choosing to study in the department. The secretary will be supervised by the Research Office Administrator and will work as part of a busy friendly team working closely with the two other members of secretarial staff in the Research Office.

Salary: £15,133 to £16,967 per annum.
