Trainee Laboratory Technician - Ref: 1521

Two advanced apprenticeship trainees are required to work within the Geography Department's laboratory team, assisting with the running of the research and teaching laboratories. You will receive comprehensive training in a range of laboratory skills and have opportunities to work with modern analytical laboratory equipment and specialist field sampling equipment in a leading Department.

To apply for one of the posts you must be between 16 and 22 years of age and have a minimum of four GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade C or higher, including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject. You will receive training in-house and externally to enable you to acheive NVQ level 3 qualifications, within a three year training period.

Salary - £9,774.40 per annum (80% of grade 2)
