NERC Knowledge Transfer

(8 March 2006)

The Natural Environment Research Council invites proposals for knowledge transfer projects. The purpose is to maximise the transfer of public-funded environmental science between the UK’s science base and users of the science. The programme supports processes that enable knowledge, expertise and skilled people to transfer between the science base and its user community (public and private sector organisations).

The following forms of KT will be funded: collaboration with users; cooperation in education and training; and people and knowledge flow. This call covers two schemes within NERC science areas:

•good ideas, such as new collaborative activities, technology translators and KT facilitators, personnel exchanges, user events, special publications and special data management, presentation models and projects;

•networks, to encourage the transfer of ideas, experimental techniques, technological and scientific insights and the flow of knowledge between academia and users of NERC science.
