Teaching Fellow in Human Geography - Ref: 4793

The Department of Geography at Durham University seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow (Grade 7) in Human Geography for a fixed term of eleven months or until 31st July 2016. You will join a department committed to research excellence, being ranked first for research power in REF2014, and teaching excellence, being second in the Complete University Guide and Guardian Guides 2015. The person appointed will contribute to teaching on undergraduate modules which are likely to be in the broad fields of research methods, philosophy and theory, and social geography.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to their teaching, the successful candidate will perform departmental administrative tasks commensurate with their grade and contribute to our wider human geography programme. The successful candidate will be given opportunities for career development and to maintain their research.
