Innovation Knowledge Manager - Ref: 008911
(17 October 2017)
The Department of Geography is looking to appoint a full time Innovation Knowledge Manager to contribute to the work of the ERDF supported NE Water Hub.
The Water Hub is a unique initiative to use technology transfer to improve public sector services, win contracts, build business – and along the way make everyone’s life a bit better. The ambitious project draws on the regions current resources and past successes in technology transfer to identify and develop innovative solutions to address local, regional and global water sector challenges.
The Water Hub is based out of Durham University and brings together initial partners from private sector innovation, public sector organisations, academia, practitioners and citizens to develop more efficient and effective products and services, which will translate to new, better, and easier experiences for everyone working in our regional water sector.
This post holder will work closely with the delivery and strategic partners associated with the NE Water Hub to drive innovation in the water sector. This will be done by scoping innovation challenges, developing innovation partnerships to translate ideas into products and processes and support testing and development necessary to increase the market readiness levels of products and services. The successful applicant will work closely with the whole NE Water Hub team and will report to the Scientific Director (Professor Louise Bracken).
This post will be full time for a fixed period up to the 30th June 2020. The role will be office based. The post holder will be required to travel within the UK.
