An evening of prose and poetry
Join us for an evening of prose and poetry at an Inventions of the Text 2020-2021 series seminar.
Matthew Welton has published four collections of poetry with Carcanet, the most recent of which is Squid Squad (2020). His work frequently plays with the boundaries between poetry and other forms, including fiction, maths, music and visual art. Matthew was born in Nottingham, lives in Nottingham, and teaches at the University of Nottingham.
Sam Riviere is the author of three poetry books, 81 Austerities (2012), Kim Kardashian's Marriage (2015) and After Fame (2020), all published by Faber, as well as numerous limited-edition titles. He lives in Edinburgh where he runs the micropublisher If a Leaf Falls Press. His novel Dead Souls is scheduled for publication next spring.
We will close the evening by inviting an audience discussion with the readers.
