Michaelmas Poetry Reading

3rd October 2018, 17:30 to 19:00, Seminar Room, Hallgarth House, Paul Batchelor and Sam Riviere

Join us for the first event of the Inventions of the Text seminar series 2018/19, in collaboration with the Centre for Poetry and Poetics. Poets Paul Batchelor and Sam Riviere will be reading selected works.

Paul Batchelor

Poet and critic, Director of Creative Writing at Durham University, and author of the collections The Sinking Road (Bloodaxe, 2008) and The Love Darg (Clutag, 2014).

Sam Riviere

Poet and publisher, author of the collections 81 Austerities (Faber & Faber, 2012), Kim Kardashian’s Marriage (Faber, 2015) and the ambient novel Safe Mode (Test Centre, 2017).

The event will be followed by drinks in The Victoria Inn and the option of dinner at Ristorante Capriccio. Please contact us if you would wish to join us for dinner.
