Michael O’Neill and Jamie McKendrick
Join two award-winning poets for a reading in Hatfield College Chapel, part of Durham Book Festival.
Michael O’Neill is Professor of English at Durham University. He co-founded and co-edited Poetry Durham (1982-1994) and has received both an Eric Gregory Award and a Cholmondeley Award for Poets. His new book of poems is The Return of the Gift (Poetry Book Society Special Commendation).
Jamie McKendrick has written six poetry collections and has won several awards, including the Forward Prize for The Marble Fly (1997) and the Hawthornden Prize for Out There(2012).
This is just one of over 90 events taking place at Durham Book Festival. This reading is produced in association with the Centre for Poetry and Poetics.
