Stars: Science and the Arts Postgraduate Conference
A one-day postgraduate conference on science and the arts organised by the Institute of Advanced Study, Durham University.
This year's theme is Stars, and there will be some lively papers presented by postgraduate students on topics ranging from explorations of space to representations of the night sky in the visual arts. The opening plenary lecture, given by Professor Anne Janowitz, Queen Mary, University of London, is titled 'The Plurality of Worlds and the Cosmic Sublime'.
