Publishing in Academic Journals in the Arts and Humanities - An Editor's Perspective

11th December 2015, 11:00 to 12:00, Hatfield College, James Chapman
Are you a PhD candidate thinking about publishing your work for the first time, or wondering how to place your research in the major journals? Are there questions you have always wanted to ask a journal editor, or aspects of the publication process you would like demystified?
Professor James Chapman, editor of the major international journal The Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television, will be holding a workshop for Durham early career researchers, where he will discuss ways to approach journal publication and some of the common pitfalls to avoid.
This workshop is designed to be of wide interest to arts and humanities researchers whatever their specific research areas, so all graduate students and postdocs are welcome to attend.
The workshop is free but places are limited, so please contact James Smith ( to register for a place.

This event is sponsored by Durham's Centre for Modern Conflicts and Cultures.
