Found in Translation: Classical Antiquity and Historical Poetry in C.P. Cavafy and W.H. Auden

6th February 2014, 13:00 to 14:00, Seminar Room, Hallgarth House, Nicoletta Asciuto

An MA research seminar

<span >Across the 2013-14 academic year the Department of English at Durham University will host a series of informal lunchtime seminars for MA students led by current PhD researchers in their second year or beyond. The organisers, Nicoletta Asciuto<span > and Nicole Bush<span >, are keen that the series both showcases the exciting doctoral research being undertaken in the Department and appeals to the various MA pathways available at Durham: Medieval and Renaissance Literary Studies; Romantic and Victorian Literary Studies; Twentieth-Century Literary Studies; and Studies in Poetry. We hope that the seminars will give MA students an insight into the nature of postgraduate research and offer discussion relevant to their degree work.
