Application procedure

We strongly encourage applicants to submit applications as early as possible. The next admissions cycle for postgraduate applications will open at the start of October 2022. There is no formal deadline for applications, but we encourage you to apply by 18 December 2022 if possible.

Students are formally admitted to the University via a College or Society of the University and the Graduate School. Applications should be submitted online through Durham University's Postgraduate Applicant Portal; see the Postgraduate Research webpages for more details.
