Our global alumni community is second to none and plays a vital role in shaping our Department, as well as creating a strong and supportive network for students to graduate into when they leave us.
Alumni can engage with us in a variety of ways, from giving talks to students and hosting events, to offering internships and mentoring opportunities through the companies they work for. We also support regular tech-themed alumni events across the world, including social meetups, thought leadership talks, and career networking events.
We are hugely grateful that many of our alumni have also given back to the Department philanthropically, allowing us to set up vital student scholarships, engage with local schools through outreach events, and even enhance our new building with a bespoke student hub for entrepreneurship.
We love to welcome alumni back to the Department – especially if they can share stories of their successes (and failures!) with current students. If you’d like to get involved please contact us: cs.office@durham.ac.uk.
