Assessment irregularities (inc. plagiarism)

All TEIs are advised to note that the policy on academic assessment irregularities has been amended to include the following:

1. if the TEI needs to hold a panel to consider suspected cases of plagiarism or collusion, it must send the report of the panel to the Common Awards Team electronically as soon as possible after the meeting takes place. This requirement should be implemented immediately.

2. clarification that, if a plagiarism or collusion panel decides to award a mark of '0' for a piece of work or an entire module, the student must be given the opportunity to resit that piece of work or module (in line with the limitations on resits, as set out in the Core Regulations for the Common Awards programmes)
