College Mentors

St Mary's has many avenues available for students to engage with pastoral and personal development. All students are offered a College Mentor at St Mary’s. Their role is to offer personal development guidance to our students, with a particular but not exclusive focus on employability in its broadest sense. The focus of the mentor/mentee relationship is not static and is designed to be fluid and flexible to reflect the changing foci of our students as they progress through the different stages of University life.

This relationship helps and supports our students to make the most of their University experience. Our Mentors consist of academics, members of University staff, senior postgraduates and members of the local community and business, and Mentor groups consist of students from all disciplines and years.
