Mr Matthew Roberts, BS Computer Science; MSc Internet Systems and eBusiness
I graduated from New Mexico State University in 2004 with a BS in Computer Science. I spent the next decade working as a software engineer in the aerospace industry, on various contracts associated with the NASA Tracking Data and Relay Satellite System. In 2016 I decided to pursue a postgraduate degree, attaining an MSc in Internet Systems and e-Business at Durham University (September 2017). My dissertation work was with the Image Processing and Computer Vision Research Group, specifically focusing on the application of digital imaging techniques to museum collections and cultural antiquities. This in turn led to a follow-on Masters by Research in the Durham University Archaeology department, to further develop my understanding of artefact studies and the domain of digital heritage.
