Durham University

Department of Anthropology

Taught Programmes

The Department of Anthropology offers one-year taught Masters courses, each delivered by a group of staff specialising in the area of study. Our Masters courses offer the opportunity to focus on a particular area of anthropology, join an active research group, and to undertake research for a dissertation in your chosen subject, supported by a member of staff with expertise in that area. Durham's strengths in these areas of anthropology, together with the large size and interdisciplinary focus of the Department, make these degrees a unique opportunity to participate in an active research environment and to develop ideas about your future career.
