Durham University

Department of Anthropology

Fieldwork is a central method of research throughout anthropology. As a consequence, we are engaged with and support a diverse array of field sites and facilities. Field courses are also critical for providing students with first-hand experience of fieldwork methods in both biological and social anthropology - we have developed unique opportunities for students to engage in residential field courses as part of their degrees.
