The Trevelyan Society was formed in 1982 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the University and 15th birthday of the College.
It has two objectives:
To unite past and present students and staff in promoting the academic and general well being of the College.
To give past students and staff the opportunity to meet and keep in touch with one another and the College.
All undergraduate students since the mid-1980s, unless they opt out, become automatic members of The Society. The Society also holds a meeting every two years. The last meeting was held during the September 2013 Alumni Reunion, the minutes of which can be found at the bottom of this page.
We would also like to welcome anyone who has been a member of the College Community for at least one academic year to join. Apart from students, this includes alumni, staff, members of the Middle and Senior Common Rooms, Visiting Fellows, and members of College Council.
Life Membership costs £50 and this means that you:
· receive our annual magazine, Hippocampus
· can attend reunion events in College and other venues
· support current students through the Trevelyan Society Scholarships
· are represented on Trevelyan College Council
You can apply for membership by printing off and completing the this form and posting it, with a cheque for £50 made out to ‘Trevelyan College’ to The Alumni & Development Officer, Trevelyan College, Elvet Hill Road, Durham, DH1 3LN.
