Department of Theology and Religion

Department of Theology and Religion

Learning and researching in the fields of: Biblical studies, Christian theology and the sociological and the anthropological study of religion, our students at all levels learn to think rigorously and independently both within and beyond their own traditions, and to become researchers in their own right.
Our Department's 30 academic staff, some 150 postgraduates and annual our undergraduate intake of 71 makes us one of the most varied and dynamic departments in the UK. Together, we form a lively and welcoming community to those of all faiths and to those of none.
