The decision as to whether you will follow a Joint Honours Degree or a Natural Sciences degree in two or more subjects is normally taken at the end of the first year of study. However, when considering your application we need an idea of the subjects you're planning to study to ensure you're eligible to study these.

Depending on popularity of individual subject areas in a given year, there may be limitations to the number of offers available for certain subject choices.
There are also specific joint honours routes available through this course in which you would focus on two preferred subjects in all four years of study (in the first year there may be the opportunity to take modules in a third subject).
Please note, we also have the following joint honours courses available as stand-alone courses. If you've applied for the MSci (Hons) Natural Sciences but wish to take one of these routes instead, then please Ask Us.
Once we’ve received your application we’ll send you login details for the UG Applicant Portal. You’ll then be able to complete the form available in your portal.
When completing your subject choice form, please ensure you list your subjects in preference order. Your first choice must be from the Group A list above.
You should choose at least two subjects and no more than four, in decreasing order of preference (i.e. choice 1 is your preferred subject choice).
If you wish to study Chemistry, you must select it as one of your top two subjects.
If you receive an offer from us, we’ll include any required subjects you'll need to have studied for your first two subject choices. For more information about required subjects and the grades we’ll need, please see the Entry Requirements section on our courses database.
